Updated!

We are proud to announce the newly redesigned Climdex.org portal. The site provides a smoother user experience and now also hosts the following new datasets:

  1. AGCD dataset (Regional)
  2. REGEN dataset
  3. BEST dataset
  4. APHRODITE dataset (Regional)
  5. HADEX3 dataset

You can now use our software Climpact to calculate ET-SCI Climate Change Indices. There is a web-based version of Climpact for calculating the indices from station data or you can download the Climpact software from github to calculate the indices on gridded NetCDF data.

We hope you enjoy using the site and if you have any feedback or have found an issue, please tell us about it so we can make Climdex.org even better.

Summing up climate extremes

We offer a range of different indices describe changes in heat, cold, rainfall and drought over time—the hottest day each year, for example, or the amount of rainfall in the rainiest 5 day stretch each year.
